Koray Feyiz

 Koray Feyiz

Koray Feyiz was born in 1961 in İstanbul-Üsküdar. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education at Turkish Education Association Istanbul College as a scholarship student.  Because of the political conflicts he was able to complete his education of Surveying Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University in 1983, which he first started in 1978 at Istanbul Technical University. He was arrested by authoritarianism in 1980 and served for a length of time. He started to do his master’s degree at the Department of Urbanism at Middle East Technical University in 1990 and got his master’s degree in 1992. He was elected to take education in England with Fulbright Scholarship. He started to study his doctorate thesis of “Urban Psychology” at London Technical Institute and completed it in 2005. He is fluent in both English and French. He is a member of P.E.N, Turkish Authors’ Union and Litterateurs’ Association.
 
His first poem was published in Varlık Magazine in 1987. His poems and proses were published in Varlık, Dergâh, Adam Sanat, Milliyet Sanat, Hürriyet Gösteri, Dize, Yasakmeyve, ÇN, İnsancıl, Evrensel Kültür, Damar, Yarın, Yazıt, Temmuz, Parantez, Şiir Ülkesi, Dönemeç, Çağdaş Türk Dili, Cumhuriyet Kitap, Edebiyat ve Eleştiri, Su, Kıyı, Yazko Edebiyat, Patika, Yaba Öykü, Lacivert, Dar Sokak, Taflan, Edebiyat 81,Radikal Kitap, Sincan İstasyonu, Deliler Teknesi, Şiir Saati, Gediz, Düşünbil, Ekin Sanat, Söyleşi, Denizsuyukâsesi, Zalifre Yazıları, Yedi İklim, Mühür, Temrin Papirüs, Litras Falsas (South America), Four Branches (USA), The Tower Journal (USA), etc. His poems were translated into English, French, Arabic and Icelandic..
